Spotted: OLBO Rocked at the Outpost!

Saturday night after dinner at Roma Mia, we headed down to one of the local hangouts that feature Cebu bands -- their event that night was "When Southern Belles Toll" (women in rock represent Cebu!) -- and one of the bands featured was OLBO (Outer Lid Break Off).

This band has great tracks, and they play great music. They're all good looking, cute, and they look like a group of punk college princes with a princess -- but when they start jamming, they rock!

The group is composed of 5 members: Gaz (lead guitars), Janry (guitars), Klaus (drums), Mar (bass), and Gryz (vocals). You can mostly catch them at the following venues: 14zerobar in Raintree Mall, Handuraw, and The Outpost.

Check out some pictures of the band...But first, let me explain something:

If you have noticed (or not yet), I have taken more pictures of the bassist -- that's coz he's my cousin. I think he's my dad's favorite nephew, but that's just me. I'm not really sure.

I also recorded some of the songs that they played, and did some basic editing. I'll post it next time so you can see them (I haven't finished my editing - hehe). They could be the next big thing in Cebu or even beyond!

That's it for now!

Skydreamer Dines in Cebu: Roma Mia

What a night. Hubby and I originally planned to go to Giuseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast in Banilad, but decided to go to The Terraces in Ayala instead because we were so hungry. We still wanted Italian though, so off we trudged to Roma Mia.

Their food is great -- and the price is just right too so we got to save a lot compared to what we could have cashed out had we gone ahead with the original plan.

They have free wifi there, so you can bring your laptop, netbook, ipod or whatever, and update yourself in Facebook or Twitter while waiting for your food. Their service was okay, but not excellent either. (We asked for a doggy bag of our potato wedges because we still had more than half left over, but they didn't give it back to us -- that's not good!)

So anyway, we ordered potato wedges, which has thick slices of deep-fried potatoes with garlic-mayo dip. The patotoes were well cooked, but it was soft. The dip was great, though.

Hubby ordered godfather chops in gravy. The name says it all -- and the picture can tell you what words cannot.

I had bolognes in linguine. It's pasta with tomato sauce, ground beef, and mushrooms topped with parmesan cheese.

The food was great, the service was okay, and the price was the best!
